May 11 2024 | Collingwood and Lansdowne ON

Our spring training and skills development camp was in Collingwood this year, culminating in a trip to Lansdowne ON to race Ontario Cup #2. We would like to thank the many guests who helped to make this camp a success. Leah Kirchmann and Shawn Clarke helped kick off the week with a Women’s World Tour Q&A session, Coach Andrew Watson spent 2 days with up helping us level-up our road and MTB bike handling skills, Sheri Jay joined us to lead a mental performance and meditation session, and Kevin Field came to share his knowledge on race tactics and race plan framework, followed by an ‘in the field’ session of race simulations. After the camp we headed to race the second O-Cup of the year, and Elly Moore and Mackenzie Watson went 1-2 in the women’s ‘A’ category, capping off a very successful week!

April 28 2024 | Silver City NM

5 of our riders (Taylor, Zoe, Kristen, Serena and Dylan) as well as guest rider Liz Vaggs competed in our first ever UCI stage race (UCI 2.2) Tour of the Gila in late April! New Mexico delivered everything it promised. Altitude, huge elevation every day, strong winds (70-100kmh gusts on day 2), tough competition and fun racing! The purpose of this trip was to gain experience and challenge ourselves in North America’s biggest event, and it was an incredible experience. A couple of our riders suffered fairly significant crashes over the event, but we were able to start the last day with 5 of our riders, which is a great result for a new development team. The people of Silver City were incredible hosts, and we can’t wait to come back next year!

February 16 2024 | Phoenix AZ

6 of our riders (Taylor, Zoe, Cassidy, Nikka, Kristen and Serena) were in Phoenix to compete in the our first road race of the season, Valley of the Sun Stage Race and take in a bit of warm-weather training in the Tucson area. Top results include Taylor finishing 14th in the Pro women’s road race, and Zoe finishing 23rd - same time as the winner. 2 of our riders stepped up to pro level racing for the first time - congratulations Cassidy and Nikka! This race was the debut of our Lazer Kineticore Z1 helmets. They handled the desert heat very well, and their light weight was welcome on the slopes of Mount Lemmon in Tucson. They were perfect for warm weather racing and training and we can’t wait to bring them along (with our Volante TT helmets) to Gila in April.

We’d like to thank the organizers of the Tour of the Gila for the invitation, and the opportunity to shine in this premiere event.
